that are provided as links from our site. Nor are Barrington Holidays
accountable for the management of or service provided in any recommended
places to visit including restaurants and bars.
Changes to the Terms and
Conditions
Barrington Holidays reserve the right to amend the terms and Conditions.
By browsing the site you are accepting the terms and conditions current at
that time.
Who we are
“we”, “us” and “our” in these Terms and Conditions means Barrington
Holidays, which is a trading name.
Your Holiday Booking
When
your holiday is booked and confirmed we accept your reservation in
accordance with these Terms and Conditions. If a booking is taken on
behalf of a group all members of the group will be bound by these Terms
and Conditions. Barrington Holidays will always confirm a booking via
email. If any details are incorrect you must inform
Barrington Holidays immediately.
Holiday Prices
All
prices in Barrington Holidays promotions are correct at the time of
launch. Barrington Holidays reserve the right to change the price of any
of their products or services. Once your booking is confirmed the given
price will not change.
Security Deposits
Your
credit card details will be taken at the time of booking and will be used
as a damage deposit and any cancellation charges that you may incur. All
credit card transactions carry an additional 3.5% charge. Barrington
Holidays reserve the right deduct an amount from your credit card for any
damage incurred in the property during the period of your stay. You will
be issued with a statement outlining the damage and the charges incurred.
If we cancel your holiday
Our
aim is to provide your holiday as booked. However we reserve the right to
cancel your holiday in any circumstances. If we cancel your holiday you
may either receive a full refund of the value of your accommodation or
accept an alternative property. Additional payments may be required if the
alternative property is of a higher rental value and in addition if the
property is of a lower rental value Barrington Holidays will refund the
difference. Barrington Holidays will always inform you as soon as possible
if any changes to your reservation are necessary. Compensation will not be
made or liability accepted in we are forced to cancel your holiday due to
unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond our control (outlined in
our Terms and Conditions).
Our responsibility for your
Holiday
We
will arrange for you to receive the services that you have booked and that
have been confirmed by Barrington Holidays. These services will be
provided either directly by us or by independent suppliers contracted by
us. In the event that part of your holiday services are provided by
independent suppliers Barrington Holidays hold no responsibility for their
services or standards. Any complaints will be forwarded to these
independent companies and will be dealt with according to their terms and
conditions. Barrington Holidays wish to emphasise that we have taken
reasonable care to ensure that all the services advertised by us are
provided by efficient and reputable businesses.
Personal Injury
Personal injury
to any person or persons attending or occupying the property or
at any time throughout your holiday is the sole responsibility of the
person who booked the holiday and they indemnify Barrington Holidays or the property owner
against all liabilities.
Your holiday contract
By
asking Barrington Holidays to confirm your holiday booking you are
accepting the terms of this agreement.
Paying for your holiday
Payment must be made in
full to Barrington Holidays before you enter the property
by bank transfer or credit card transaction. Please note that credit card
payments carry an additional 3.5% charge.
Holiday Insurance
It
is your responsibility to obtain Holiday or Travel Insurance.
If you change your booking
If
you are prevented from taking the holiday you have booked you may transfer
your booking to another person provided you meet the following conditions:
A)
You
must sign an holiday amendment form authorising Barrington Holidays to
alter the booking name.
B)
The
person to who you transfer the booking must comply with the terms of the
existing booking
C)
That
person must sign a new booking form accepting the holiday and our terms
and conditions.
D)
You
will remain responsible for any payment on the holiday or any services
booked should that person fail to pay it.
E)
You
cannot transfer a booking without notifying Barrington Holidays and if the
above conditions are not undertaken.
If you cancel your Holiday
If
you want to cancel your holiday or part of it you must notify Barrington
Holidays and complete a amendment / cancellation form. To cover the cost
of processing your cancellation and to compensate us for the risk that we
may not be able to resell the holiday or service we will make a
cancellation charge of up to 50% of the price of your accommodation.
The person who made
the booking will be responsible for the charge.
If you have a complaint
If
you have a complaint about any part of your holiday please inform a
Barrington Holidays representative immediately. They have the power to
fully deal with any complaint. We prefer that all complaints are dealt
with immediately by the person attending to them as they can see and
understand the nature of the complaint. If the complaint cannot be dealt
with you will be asked to complete a ‘holiday report’. This will allow
the complaint to be understood and dealt with in the most efficient
manner possible. If any problems were not dealt with by a Barrington
Holidays representative, 24hr service line or any independent business
supplying a service booked through Barrington Holidays please submit any
complaint within 28 days to allow it to be investigated properly. We hope
that this practice will allow all issues to be resolved to your
satisfaction. Barrington Holidays accept no responsibility for events
beyond our control.
Holiday Participation
We
reserve the right to refuse to accept you as a customer or to continue
dealing with you if your behaviour is disruptive or affects other
holidaymakers, residents or any members of the community in with your
accommodation may belong or to any Barrington Holidays representative
either in writing or in person. In such circumstances no refunds or
compensation will be made to you.
Your accommodation
The
accommodation you have booked can only be used by those people named on
your booking confirmation. No other persons are allowed to stay or let the
accommodation under any circumstances. You are responsible for basic
security measures in the property. Barrington Holidays will take every
precaution to ensure that all electrical systems and any appliances are
maintained but hold no responsibility for any accidents that may occur in
the property or grounds. Defects of any items must be reported immediately
to a Barrington Holidays representative.
Your responsibilities
Throughout your holiday you are responsible for the property which you
have booked and you are required to take care of it and enforce any
security procedures when vacating the property throughout your stay. Upon
departing the property you are expected to leave it in a reasonably clean
manner and you may be charged in the property is vacated in an unclean
manner. You, any members of the group or any third parties attending the
property are required to look after the property and adhere to the rules
of the community to which the property may belong.
Events beyond our control
Events beyond out control include: war, threats of war, riots, civil
disturbances, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear
disasters, fire, epidemics, health risks, technical problems with
transport including airports, shipping ports, motorway closures, severe
weather conditions, water or electricity cuts or any other similar events. We would draw your
attention to the fact that although we are sympathetic to instances of
unforeseen building work or construction which may occur in the vicinity
of your holiday these instances are completely out of our control. We will
try our best to assist you in these circumstances but they are beyond our
control and we cannot accept liability.
